These terms apply when you book or attend a chess coaching session with Collinstein Chess Academy, whether arranged through this website, WhatsApp, phone, or email. By booking a session, you're agreeing to these terms.
I provide 1-on-1 chess coaching, both online (video call) and in-person in Nairobi, for players of any level. Session types, current pricing, and scheduling are listed on the Pricing section of this site, and may change from time to time — the price you're quoted at the time of booking is the one that applies to your session.
Sessions are booked directly with me over WhatsApp, phone, or email. Payment is made via M-Pesa unless we agree otherwise. If you're booking for more than one sibling, the sibling discount shown on the pricing section applies — just mention it when booking.
New students get one free trial session before committing to a paid schedule. This is offered at my discretion and is limited to one per student.
Life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, message me as early as you can so we can find another slot. I don't currently enforce a strict cancellation-fee policy, but repeated last-minute cancellations may affect whether I can keep offering you the same fixed weekly slot.
The anonymous review form on this site is meant for honest feedback about your experience. Don't use it to submit spam, unrelated content, or anything abusive — I reserve the right to disregard reviews that clearly aren't genuine feedback.
The text, design, and materials on this website belong to Collinstein Chess Academy unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to share links to the site, but please don't copy the site's content or design for your own use without asking first.
Coaching can meaningfully improve your chess, but I can't promise specific rating gains or tournament results — how much you improve depends on practice and effort as much as coaching. I provide this service as-is and am not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of this website or the coaching service.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
I may update these terms occasionally as the business grows. The version posted here is always the current one.
